Welcome to the St. Jude PTO!

We are excited for another great year.  The PTO is very active in providing enhanced activities for our children at the school.  Please consider volunteering your time and talent.  Everyone is welcome to participate in the St. Jude PTO!

This year we are having four meetings, see below for the scheduled dates.  All meetings begin at 7:00pm and are held in the Science Room.  All parents and teachers of St. Jude are welcome.  Please join us!

PTO Meeting Dates:

  • Wednesday, August 27th - featured grade is Junior High  ( Minutes )
  • Tuesday, October 28th - featured grades are K-1
  • Wednesday, February 4th - featured grades are 2-3
  • Tuesday, April 28th - featured grades are 4-6

PTO Committee Chair Needs for 2015-16 School Year

Position Time Frame Job Description Current Chair
Cultural Day Chairperson last day of school prior to Spring break Works with the principal, school and leads the event committee to plan Cultural Day. Kim Pohovey
Room Parent Coordinator throughout the school year Oversees all room parents for the year.  Plans kick-off meeting in September to assign Room Parents.  Assigns monthly teacher appreciation events by grade level.  Is available to the room parents throughout the year for questions and answers.  This position can be a co-coordinator position with a friend.

Beth Dristas

Market Day Co-Chair

Pick-up monthly Liaison to Market Day Representative.  Attends each monthly pick-up date and oversees volunteers, money & orders.  Available to enter orders that are received via paper.  There is currently a co-chair to work with for this opportunity.

Shari Walker

Book Fair Coordinator November during Veteran's/Grandparent's Day event Coordinates volunteers to work in the library during the annual Scholastic Book Fair.

Susan Callon

Box Tops Co-Chair throughout the school year Works with current co-chair to help collect and organize the Box Tops.  Publicize and run Box Tops contest and prepare prizes for students.

Deanna Foreman

Labels for Education Chair throughout the school year Collect and turn in Labels for Education and Tyson Labels from the school and church.
