Grade 1

Teachers

Mrs. Heather Tuttle is in her sixth year at St. Jude.  She attended Purdue University for a degree in Elementary Education.  Mrs. Tuttle likes playing tennis, reading, gardening, and swimming in her free time.  She also has five cats.  Mrs. Tuttle finds that "the kids are always excited to learn new things and often they teach me a thing or two!"

 

Mrs. Jill Schultz is in her twenty-sixth year at St. Jude.  She teaches all of the academic subjects to her classroom of first graders.  Mrs. Schultz attended Marian College for her Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Indiana Central (University of Indianapolis) for her Master's.  She has two children. One attends St. Jude and the other is at Roncalli.   Mrs. Schultz finds that "teaching at St. Jude Catholic School has allowed me to teach in a Catholic school where my two girls can also share in a Christian learning atmosphere."

Grade 2

Teachers:

Ms. Susan Edwards has been teaching for twenty-eight.  She teaches all of the academic subjects to her classroom of second graders.  Ms. Edwards attended Franklin College for her degree in Elementary Education.  She enjoys antique hunting, listening to music, having fun with family and friends, and shopping in any spare time.  Ms. Edwards finds teaching "very challenging and rewarding.  However, the families at St. Jude are the best!"

Mrs. Paulette Brown is in her twenty-second year at St. Jude.  She attended Ball State for a degree in Elementary Education and went to I.U.P.U.I. for her Masters.  She has two children and three pets.  Mrs. Brown likes reading, traveling, and cross stitch.  Mrs. Brown is teaching second grade this year and enjoying it thoroughly.

 

Grade 3

Ms. Nancy Meyer has been teaching for thirty-two years.  She received degrees from Marian College and I.U.P.U.I. for Elementary Education.  Ms. Meyer enjoys reading, walking, travel, and baking in her free time.  She feels that "each class is different and learns something from the students each year."

 

Mrs. Amber Halloran is in her fourth year at St. Jude School.  However, she has previously taught pre-school for two years.  Mrs. Halloran attended Hanover College for a degree in Elementary Education.  She teaches English, Social Studies, Reading, Vocabulary, and Religion to the sixth grade.  Mrs. Halloran enjoys reading and anything with children, especially raising her daughter Shannon and her son Patrick.  She loves "showing children that learning can be fun!"
